La Música de la Cala returns this summer

The Hotel Cala Jóncols of Roses has planned for this summer, on the occasion of its 60th anniversary, a broad and varied musical programme for its guests to enjoy an unforgettable experience. The establishment, located alongside the municipal district of Cadaqués in the heart of the Cap de Creus Nature Park, has scheduled a total of 21 musical performances included in the season La Música de la Cala, to be held from July 3rd to August 29th, with the participation of six Catalan groups and soloists.

Contra Punt will open the season on Friday July 3rd. This group will also perform in the Cala on Saturday July 11th and Friday July 31st, and on Saturdays August 8th and 29th.

Merkado Negro will provide music for the nights in the Cala on Fridays July 10th and 24th and also Sunday August 9th and Saturdays August 15th and 22nd.

On Friday July 17th it will be the turn of Mau Boada with the group Esperit, who will also perform here on Saturday August 1st and Friday 14th. Esperit took part in the disc Jóncols, la música de la cala, which includes previously unrecorded pieces inspired in the Costa Brava and its people, and which was created as a result of the artistic meeting which the musician and promoter Rafel Plana promoted two years ago.

The programme will continue with Buena Onda on Saturday July 18th, and they will also play for us on Friday August 21st. The group Angels will perform on Saturday July 25th. Edgar will offer ambient music on Friday August 28th. The line-up is completed by DJ Diego on Sundays August 2nd and 23rd at midday, and DJ Xavi Bové on Sunday August 16th and Monday 17th, also at midday.
