The smallest vineyard in Catalonia, located in Cala Jóncols, between Roses and Cadaqués, was born in 2015 on an area of less than one hectare, near the Mediterranean Sea, to recover the Red Grenache.
Red Grenache is a particular grape name because of its colour, it is neither white nor black, but rosé, as specified by the same name. This type of grape complements the Grenache family.
Cala Jóncols is the perfect place to evolve the smallest vineyard in Catalonia. In the middle of nature, in a privileged corner of the Alt Empordà where the tramontana is present in its purest state and benefits the results of the same vineyard. While the vines are the best scenery of this special landscape, some bottles of wine rest at the bottom of the sea to leave us breathless, and after intensifying their aromas and minerals they become in sparkling wines with a flavour unique around the world: Vins del Mar.
The smallest vineyard in Catalonia made its first harvest in 2017. And it is an honour to continue evolving and growing by its side.
